Position Summary
As a Category Development Manager, based on shopper, channel and category understanding, you will develop and co-implement the category channel agenda within the business to support long term category growth and profitable growth as well as increase market shares.

A day in the life of a Category Development Manager
- Drive shopper, channel and category focus for Hypermarket, Supermarket, Discounter, Cash & Carry and eCommerce
- Define and implement channel strategies and plans (through ICP) that deliver category growth based on channel and customer understandings and requirements, as well as key challenges and opportunities
- Category management initiatives with key customers
- Increase trade promotion effectiveness and efficiency
- Develop effective branded or category shopper campaigns based on defined objectives
- Coordinate and present the Field Sales Force cycle plans
- Develop key arguments and material (e.g. salesfolder) for customers
What will make you successful
- University degree or equivalent (HEG, etc)
- 4-5 years’ experience in Generating Demand/commercial experience (marketing, category management and/or sales)
- Experience in FMCG in the Swiss market
- Advanced understanding of shopper, market Intelligence sources (AC Nielsen), category/channel/shopper trends
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in German, French, English
