As a Factory Quality Assurance Supervisor, you are responsible for assuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards established by the company and various federal, state and local regulatory agencies.  The overall responsibility of the role is to ensure the manufacturing of safe, high quality pet food. The position is also responsible for the career development and supervision of the QA Technicians /Specialist and Team Leader who will be reporting to you.   • Responsible for development, training, coaching and supervision of direct reports. This includes objective setting and providing the resources for their success.
  • Perform all administrative functions including employee records, production records and records critical to department operation.
  • Manage factory Formal Release, GMPs, Calibration, Hygienic Design, Sanitation, Pest Control and Management of Change programs to ensure only products meeting all regulatory requirements are released.
  • Identify issues causing non-conforming products and foreign body risks, and collaborate with Supervisors, QA Techs, and relevant personnel to implement preventive measures.
  • Create and manage stock status process for non-conforming products, including rework, donation, and destruction.
  • Expedite processing of holds to ensure dispositions are timely and hold inventory remains at acceptable levels.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to ensure root causes are identified and systematic preventive/corrective actions are implemented and documented per policy.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience working in quality, food manufacturing, laboratory, military or a related role.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $67,000.00 to $97,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
