Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a talented Digital & Social Media Manager to join our Nestlé Cereal Partners UK team at our head office in Welwyn Garden City. Reporting directly into the Digital, Communications & Activation Controller you’ll play a lead role in planning, developing and executing our digital and social media activities across our entire brand portfolio. Working closing with marketing and sales to achieve our ambitious commercial objectives to ultimately make our brands brilliant online.

A day in the life of...

As a Digital & Social Media Manager you’ll be the guardian and innovator of all our digital activity from strategy through to execution and evaluation. Playing a pivotal role to drive awareness and growth across digital for the business by working closely with a whole host of stakeholders in the UK and at head office (Switzerland) you will also:

 

  • Work closely with the business to evolve and deliver our long term digital plans as part of the eBusiness strategy, focusing on innovation to deliver strong engagement and brand growth.
  • Drive consumer engagement through our paid, owned and earned media from creation of activation plans, content, leveraging ratings and reviews, social listening and more.
  • Be responsible for the development and management of the Nestlé Cereals website.
  • Lead the search strategy (SEO & PPC) working in collaboration with search agencies and CPUK global team to deliver and optimise at every opportunity.
  • Own the on-going monitoring and evaluation of digital activity, including brand campaigns, website and search, ensuring delivery against KPI’s.
  • Develop and implement PCE initiatives including the creation of data and CRM plans.
  • Enhance our digital and social media capabilities, by keeping the business up-to-date with latest learnings, industry developments and innovation, leading learning and development initiatives for internal stakeholders.  

What will make you successful?

As the successful candidate, you’ll be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have a breadth of fantastic digital and social media experience under your belt and ideally you’ll already have experience of working in a similar role within a matrix organisation. You’ll be passionate, results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You’ll thrive when working with stakeholders across all levels coupled with your ability to truly understand our businesses from a commercial standpoint. You’ll have fantastic communication skills and understand how your decisions impact our CPUK business strategy. You’ll love working in an environment that isn’t always black and white, being able to navigate both yourself and stakeholders to positive solutions. And finally you’ll have experience of:

 

  • Managing websites and social media communities with a key focus on community engagement.
  • Being able to translate data and insight into strategies and plans.
  • Delivering complex projects, taking stakeholders on the journey with you to achieve great things.
  • Clearly articulating and presenting strategies, results and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Getting creative… copywriting and Photoshop skills are essential.
