Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced eCommerce Development Manager to join our Nestlé Cereal Partners UK team at our head office in Welwyn Garden City. Reporting directly into the Digital, Communications & Activation Controller, this role has recently been created to drive our overarching eCommerce strategy for CPUK and really is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative part of our business.

A day in the life of...

Ultimately you will be responsible for improving the cereal online shopping experience via eRetailers, to maximise online and ROPO sales for Nestle breakfast cereals. You will lead our overarching eCommerce strategy, set best practice and develop plans by eRetail account to provide frictionless brand experiences for our shoppers.

You will need to use your influencing skills to sell in your strategy and plans to key stakeholders, including senior management, commercial account teams and your counterparts within eRetailers in order to drive sales of our brands.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of the UK eCommerce strategy and creation of great plans by eRetailer, supporting the sales team to implement these plans successfully.
  • Developing eCommerce reporting, KPI dashboards and ROI evaluators. Working closely with our online category insights champion, to develop action plans based on the analysis of performance measures.
  • Leading the UK eCommerce Innovation plan, connecting with CPW and the wider Nestlé businesses to share learnings and attending external events to identify new opportunities and deliver local test and learn projects.
  • Managing eCommerce agency partners and contracts to drive online performance.
  • Identifying eCommerce best practice and tools to continually build the knowledge of the wider digital and eCommerce landscape and actively upskill capabilities across CPUK, specifically within the sales and marketing community.
  • Leading the development of best in class eContent creation and implementation on eRetailer platforms.
  • Identifying and implementing a B2B website solution, ensuring website content is regularly updated utilising shopper and category content.

What will make you successful?

As the successful candidate, you’ll have some excellent eCommerce and marketing experience already under your belt and most importantly have a natural passion for all things digital.  With a curious mind-set and tenacious personality, you’ll play a key part in driving innovative thinking and action across the business. The following skills and experience will also be beneficial:

 

  • Have previous experience of Digital or eCommerce, working in an environment that is constantly evolving and have the ability to identify opportunities and deliver on our commercial plans.
  • Be able to influence with impact across cross-functional / matrix structures.
  • Experience of agency management and contract negotiation.
  • Be naturally eager to learn and continually develop your own knowledge of eCommerce.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial thinker with a tenacity to drive forward change.
  • Customer facing experience, as customer contact will be required in this role.
