MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Lead, develop and align the Demand and Supply Planning team of the related Category/Business Unit in the effective application of Best Practice and efficient processes, as well as in the efficient use of tools, to ensure that finished goods (both domestically produced and supplied via IMS) are available, meet Customer demand, at the right stock location and with high Freshness, whilst minimizing Cost.
Contribute to Strategic (3 years+) and Tactical (18-20 months) Business Planning via Monthly Business Planning and the Dynamic Planning Framework.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
• Category Co-pilot, link to BEO representing Ensuring Supply area. Ensure continuing alignment with Business priorities, initiatives, and activities, and the delivery of performance to agreed KPI levels (i.e. stock availability to meet the Customer Service target at optimum costs)
• Ensure that the DSP team is aligned with Category/Region/Zone/Corporate priorities and objectives
• Manage and maintain, together with the Category DSP Managers, a skilled and motivated team of Demand and Supply planners (including IMS planners and Event Managers/Subject Matter Experts when relevant)
• Get support if needed from the BE DSP manager (if any), from the line manager and/or from other category DSP managers in the market for development and coaching of team members: Get support if needed to develop and sustain a relevant capability-building framework, secure resources and accurate onboarding of new employees.
• Manage the relationship and the effective flow of information between the Demand and Supply Planning function and the internal business partners and key stakeholders within and outside Operations (e.g. Sales, Marketing and Finance).
• Contribute with the support of the Corporate DSP Manager and/or BE DSP Manager if needed, to the Nestlé Competitive Planning solution by active and constructive participation in the Market Business Strategy (MBS), Monthly Business Planning (MBP), Dynamic Forecast (DF), Annual Volume Commitment (AVC) and Annual Cost Estimate (ACE) processes.
• Manage the relationship and effective flow of information between the Demand and Supply Planning function and external business partners such as Customers, service providers, and vendors.
• Contribute to leveraging system capabilities and identify new ways of working, making demand and supply planning more efficient
• Increase "speed to market" through effective coordination of Innovation and Renovation process and execution (e.g. New Product Launch)
• Manage the relationship with Inter-Market partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective IMS replenishment and deliver an IMS performance as good as the domestic one.
• Support NCE/LEAN and/or any other continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that a continuous improvement culture is developed and sustained
WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL
• Operational and/or Project Management experience in DSP
• Operational role and/or good knowledge in one of the functions across Generating Demand or other Ensuring Supply areas of: Sales / Marketing; Technical & Production; Customer Service; Demand & Supply Planning; Supply Chain Development; Procurement
• Desirable to have worked and/or have good knowledge in a LEAN organization, which has adapted LEAN concepts and tools as part of their way of working, and/or have had experience implementing LEAN concepts and tools.
• Desirable to have had experience and/or have good knowledge in Demand Planning and statistical forecasting techniques, and/or Supply Planning and optimization techniques
• Sufficient training/coaching skills
