POSITION SUMMARY
The Local Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing local procurement teams within designated spend areas at the market (NiM) level. This role ensures effective information flow between procurement support teams and Above Market category teams, enabling alignment and collaboration. The Local Sourcing Manager develops, manages, and prioritizes procurement activities to support GMB/BU/Function strategies, oversees the delivery of procurement objectives, and represents local market goals to category leadership. Additionally, the role contributes to strategic planning, monitors progress toward business goals, and periodically reassesses targets and actions in partnership with category teams.
A DAY IN LIFE A LOCAL SOURCING MANAGER
- Understand BU/Function strategies and priorities, translate them into actionable needs, and integrate this information into procurement category strategies across both Hub and market teams. Ensure all critical levels of category leadership are informed and aligned.
- Engage at the early stages of project development at the NiM level. Understand innovation and renovation plans for GMB/BU/Function, and interface with other functional groups to develop strategy and supplier requirements. Ensure these strategies are effectively represented and incorporated into category and SRM activities.
- Monitor and manage the delivery of value to NiM-level GMB/BU/Function leadership. Provide clear focus, assignments, motivation, support, and coaching to procurement teams to ensure understanding and fulfillment of GMB/BU/Function needs. Integrate evolving business needs and expected innovations into procurement category strategies.
- Define the scope of roles and activities for Procurement Support direct reports. Set team goals and objectives, and manage the local Procurement Support Team to deliver agreed service levels, responding effectively to changing requirements and project environments.

- In-depth knowledge and application of procurement best practices.
- Proficiency in the 7-step strategic sourcing process.
- Familiarity with Nestlé Management and Leadership Principles.
- Detailed knowledge of business and functional strategies.
- Solid financial understanding, including key business drivers, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Skilled in negotiating with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and analyze economic drivers impacting sourcing decisions.
- Experience in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
