POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Specialist (Local Sourcing Specialist / Strategic Buyer) develops and implements sourcing strategies for locally managed categories, ensuring compliance with Nestlé and Nestrade procurement standards. The role manages supplier onboarding, P2P processes, and the effective implementation of new or revised products and services to deliver value, quality, and supply continuity.


MAIN DUTIES
•    Partner with business stakeholders to understand their priorities and translate them into effective sourcing strategies for locally managed categories. 
•    Conduct supplier, market, category, and risk analyses to identify sourcing opportunities, optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), and drive continuous improvement. 
•    Lead sourcing and negotiation activities to secure competitive contracts and deliver value through strong supplier partnerships. 
•    Support innovation, renovation, and business projects by engaging procurement early in the development process and aligning supplier strategies with business needs. 
•    Ensure compliance with Nestlé procurement policies, standards, supplier code, and best practices. 
•    Manage contract administration and procurement master data, ensuring accurate and effective follow-up within procurement systems.
 
REQUIREMENTS
-    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field. 
-    Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management. 
-    Proven experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple spend categories. 
-    Strong supplier management, negotiation, and contract management skills. 
-    Solid understanding of strategic sourcing, procurement best practices, and supply risk management. 
-    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities. 
-    Good commercial and financial acumen, with an understanding of cost drivers and market dynamics. 
-    Experience with Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and procurement systems. 
-    Knowledge of local procurement regulations and compliance requirements. 
-    FMCG procurement experience is an advantage.
