Position Summary:

 

We are looking for an exceptional and seasoned Manager of Public Relations & Communications to take charge of our public relations, corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and executive leadership communications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in developing and executing strategic communication plans aimed at enhancing our company's reputation, bolstering brand recognition, and cultivating positive relationships with key stakeholders. This is a hybrid opportunity that will support remotely as well as in our corporate office(s) as needed for Town Hall Meetings as well as other collaborative organizational events.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations and communications strategies to effectively NHSc U.S.’ messages and key initiatives to external audiences, including media, customers, consumers, patients, and the public
  • Serve as a main point of contact for NHSc, responding to media inquiries, conducting interviews, and proactively pitching stories to secure positive coverage
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media contacts, industry influencers, community leaders, and advocacy groups, to advance the NHSc’s objectives and enhance its reputation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all communication channels, including marketing materials, social media, and corporate brand comms
  • Oversee executive leadership communications, including talking points, presentation development, and message coaching, to ensure consistency and effectiveness in internal and external communications
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks, and develop proactive strategies to manage NHSc’s reputation and mitigate potential crises
  • Plan and execute high-profile events, press conferences, and speaking engagements to raise awareness of the NHSc’s brand and key messages
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on public relations and communications matters, including messaging, media relations, and crisis management
  • Manage a 2-person team of communications professionals, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to support their professional development and maximize their impact

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, with master’s degree preferred
  • 8 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with media contacts, industry influencers, and other external stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate communication challenges, and develop proactive solutions to achieve business objective
  • Experience managing high-profile events, media campaigns, and other communication initiatives from conception to execution
  • Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools, as well as social media platforms and digital communication strategies

 

Skills:

 

  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate communication challenges, and develop proactive solutions to achieve business objectives
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences and communication channels
