Position Summary:

 

The primary role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to support the business planning and financial analysis function for the Consumer Care sector of US Nestle Health Science Business.  The position will also provide support to other business functions (i.e., Marketing, Supply Chain Finance etc.) to provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis. 

This position is hybrid, with weekly support in our Hoboken, NJ Headquarters combined with remote work.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Product Fixed Marketing Spend (PFME), Digital Retail Media, and Coupons budget management through continuous interactions with marketing teams
  • Reviews available funds, monthly phasing for forecasting accuracy, validating/approving budget changes
  • Supports & ensures accurate monthly P&L forecasts through active participation in the monthly business planning meetings, trade, and inputting forecasts into FIT Tool for reporting
  • Supports period end close through journal entry postings, analysis, financial reporting, and assists in creation of presentations to support the business needs
  • Finance support for the product innovation / renovation projects by working with project lead on P&L scenarios (volume, pricing, COGS, other costs) while benchmarking against financial hurdles
  • Continually evaluates & challenges processes and reporting practices, while implementing changes as needed
  • Analyzes profitability of financial plans throughout the annual planning cycle, month end close processes, forecast submissions, marketing spend, and innovations / renovation projects
  • Provides clear and effective reporting of financial results while constantly looking for areas of business optimization, and process improvement

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years experience in planning and reporting
  • Background in consumer products, manufacturing environment a plus
  • Nice to have: MBA

 

 

Skills:

 

  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience using SAP
  • Excellent analytical skills
