Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is the management of key supply chain projects and initiatives at one or more major customers that deliver joint supply chain objectives. Identifies and creates improvement plans for appropriate customer service and business metrics. Is the key contact for customer supply chain personnel. Collaborates with regional customers and Sales to ensure end to end supply chain strategies and priorities are included in the annual customer plan. Assists in optimizing all aspects of the supply chain to create joint value for both Nestlé and the customer.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads Customer Specific Supply Chain Projects and Initiatives
• Develops/manages key projects that aligns Nestlé and customer strategies
• Conducts internal customer “deep dives” to optimize the shared value chain
• Responsible for ensuring the supply chain is included in the customer business plan (qtrly, annual)
• Regularly assesses needs and opportunities to reduce operational costs and drive Nestle volume via the supply chain
• Serves as single point of contact for all NUSA supply chains
• Enables sales team leader to leverage supply chain improvements commercially
Customer Relationships
• Develops relationships with customer personnel across operations, buying and distribution
• Influences customer supply chain business decisions and practices that deliver optimal profitability for Nestle and the customer
• Understand and develop win/win scenarios;
Delivers day-to-day operational results
• Accountable for the execution of being brilliant at the basics (on-time, case fill, on shelf availability, deductions and returns) through connecting business experts to drive improvements
• Responsible for educating and influencing the internal organization on the “Lens of the Customer” expectations and playbooks for each account within scope
• Responsible for execution of Nestle supply chain initiatives (ie CPU conversion, Network overlay, Service Pricing)
• Key driver of customer pick up conversion and continuity
• Coordination with customer service and divisional resources to improve fill rates
• Coordination with Transportation to improve on time shipment
• Resource to customer on transportation issues and on-time delivery excellence
• Tracks savings of both the customer and Nestle to deliver agreed up on targets
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Travel Requirement: 25% minimum
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 7 years experience in Logistics/Supply Chain.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Manager, preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain.
• Minimum of 2 years working for a consumer goods company.
• Experience in consumer goods Sales helpful.
• Experience in dealing with demanding customers in multiple channels expected.
