Position Summary

You are responsible to build production plans respecting the agreed level of available capacity to ensure that finished and semi-finished goods are available with high freshness, at the right stock location to meet customer demand whilst minimizing cost (optimize service at the best End to End cost).

 

You manage Innovation and Renovation projects for Sticks products manufactured in Pontarlier factory, except complex projects (requiring significant industrial changes) supervised by local Event Manager Lead and Supply Chain Manager.

A day in the life of Category Production Planner & Event Manager

Production planning:

  • Establishes an 18 month production plan for the factories within the scope of responsibility (including sub/contracting and/or co-manufacturing where relevant) ensuring continuous product availability in all Receiving locations
  • Establishes Committed Capacity, including timing proposals for plant shutdowns, investments etc
  • Provides information on labour requirements through Committed Capacity
  • Creates a feasible and optimal production plan that respects capacity defined (available capacity)
  • Signalizes and effectively addreses all potentail capacity issues in proper advance
  • Identifies possible opportunities and improvements in collaboration with the factory within the 18 month horizon balancing flexibility and reliability
  • Coordinates Annual Volume Commitment (AVC) Consolidation, volume Forecast Affiliates and is Single Point Of Contact for Market Controlling
  • Contribute to cross functional planning activities such as Monthly Production Review (MPR) according to best practices
  • Actively supports the Strategic Volume Planning process (i.e. Capex Planning) by providing capacity simulations, scenario planning and contingency proposals

 

Innnovation & Renovation Project Management

  • Provide key project elements to the stakeholders to enable appropriate decisions
  • Estimate risks on feasibility / supply and propose an action plan to mitigate them in order to manage launch dates of the products (anticipation / postponement)
  • Propose & manage action plans to reduce write offs on Raw Materials & Packaging, with both commercial & marketing teams if relevant.
  • Gather functional experts and assign task in Idea to Lauch, managing phase in & out of the participants
  • Follow up milestones achievement and lead an action plan to close the gap.
  • Manage masterdata creation flow for each project

What will make you successful

  • Master degree or equivalent
  • A first experience in Supply Chain
  • Strong communication skills, ability to prioritize and eye for detail and 
  • Good awareness and understanding of business and market trends
  • SAP, Excel knowledge
  • Fluency in English
