Position Summary

 

As Dry-Snacks and Wet Focused Improvement Manager, you will drive the governance for a consistent implementation of Focused Improvement competences at Factory Level. You will also run the NPPEMENA Cross Fertilisation (X-Fert) Process on the main Technologies of each Division, connected with the NPPC Global X-Fert program. Furthermore, you will promote the use of Digital Solutions to simplify and make more reliable the identification of key losses at factory and NPPEMENA Operations level.

A day in the life of a Dry-Snacks and Wet Focused Improvement Manager

 

  • As part of the NPPEMENA Manufacturing Excellence Team, govern the Focused Improvement (FI) pillar within Purina Network and embed FI practices into the Management routines 
  • Coordinate Performance Acceleration Projects and leverage the X-Fert Process to take maximum benefit 
  • Train and coach the Factory FI Pillar leaders on the FI methodologies through best practice sharing and problem-solving competency building as part of effective governance process
  • Drive the X-Fert Process aligned with the Divisional Technical Managers while ensuring the proper validation of improvements with Central Technical Functions (e.g. Eng, QM, PPRSA)
  • Use Power BI Reports to make current losses easily visible and shared between factories and relevant functions
  • Drive the Benchmark approach to identify best practices and gaps to focus on at NPPEMENA Operations and Factory level
  • Participate actively and coach NCE Maturity Level Assessments of NPPEMENA Factories, together with NiM NCE NPPEMENA ME Team
  • Be part of the NPPC and ZEMENA NCE Manufacturing Excellence governance to connect with other NPPC Regions and NiM NCE Teams

What will make you successful

 

  • University Degree education (with demonstrated Analytical Skills)
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience in an operational function at factory level or as Factory Manufacturing Excellence Manager 
  • Competencies in DMAIC methodology (at least Green Belt certified), having coached 6 Sigma / DMAIC  projects
  • Excellent facilitation skills to deliver (FI) trainings to different hierarchical levels 
  • Previous leadership experience & advanced Change Management Skills 
  • High persuasion skills (based on facts) and natural leadership skills to convince people and implement the mindset change.
  • Flexibility for business travel within NPPEMENA with focus on priority factories
  • Fluent in English - any other language is a plus
