Position Snapshot

  • Permanent position
  • Location: Issy les Moulineaux, France
  • Msc Method Engineer or Mechanical Engineer or equivalent in technical and/or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 5-6 years in the corresponding technical field, preferably in the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.

Position Summary

You will be responsible to deliver Standardization in Method/Maintenance engineering by supporting machine design, implementing maintenance strategy, keeping updated existing Machine standard and technical platforms, supporting investment projects (Design & Capex preparation) and strategic procurement and assessing new suppliers for the whole Purina EMENA Zone.

 

A day in the life of...

  • Deliver the Technology Alignment Program (TAP ) in Maintenance Engineering for Process, Utilities and Packaging Engineering, by supporting TAP design Engineers in setting up New Technical Platforms, keeping updated existing Standard Technical Platforms, supporting Investment Projects (Design & Capex preparation) and supporting strategic procurement and assessing New suppliers
  • Compare offers, make recommendations & participate in technical/commercial negotiations for the purchasing of spare parts & maintenance services and the establishment of key supplier agreements.
  • Establish standards maintenance procedure and contribute to the Best-in-Class repository: Best practice solutions, preferred suppliers & equipment, technical documentation, historic costs etc.
  • Stay up to date of technological trends and preventive maintenance procedures through involvement with CO-eng and outside organizations, suppliers & other professional contacts, periodicals, seminars, etc.
  • Lead and/or participate in technical taskforces and expert networks for specific areas of technology.
  • Define maintenance programs and procedures for key standard equipments and machines.
  • Deliver to the factories generic Maintenance plan   Review/challenge factory maintenance budgets & lead/support equipment improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluation and/or implementation of Fixed Assets maintenance strategy, and maintenance budget preparation/control (preferably including exposure to TPM)
  • Stay abreast of technological trends and procedures through involvement with R&D, outside organizations, suppliers & other professional contacts, periodicals, seminars, etc.

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude Willingness to travel
