  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Logistics
  • Not less than 5 years relevant and successful operational experience in a role at market/ business environment:
    > Warehouse Management and Transportation or experience in any other relevant senior Supply Chain leadership role.
    > Relevant operational experience at market/ business level, in the following areas is beneficial:
    > Customer Service
    > Demand & Supply Planning
    > Technical & Production
    > Purchasing 
  • Solid Experience in the management of projects such as: Engineering Design, Distribution Network Redesign, High Performance Logistics, Lean Value Stream or Warehouse design
  • Experience of automation projects
  • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross Functional teams.
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel

Position Summary

 

At Nestlé in France, our employees and company performance is measured by the concrete and positive contributions of everyone on its environment. As a Distribution Logistics Engineer, you are responsible to lead Lead Automation projects in Logistics focussing on warehouses (DC & Factory) delivering reduced Distribution Costs and supporting the Omnichannel and Distribution strategies.

 

 

A day in the life of a

•    AGV retrofit in NPPE Factory warehouses: Working with the relevant locations to deploy AGVs as part of the NPPE Logistics strategy; Prepare business case and follow up with a credit submission
•    Automated loading/unloading: Working with the Zone develop a strategy to deploy automated truck loading/unloading at NPPE Factory locations. Prepare business case and follow up with a credit submission
•    Deployment of Yard Management System for all NPPE Factory Locations: To create visibility and bring efficiencies to Transport management on site, deploy the Nestlé Yard management system at Factory locations. Communication, prioritisation, IT connection – retrofit improvements. Deployment of Electric, automated shunters and solar energy solutions: NPPE mapping to identify the optimal sites. Prepare business case and follow up with a credit submissionAutomated Inventory counting:
•    Define best technology to deploy in NPPE sites. Develop a PoC through scoping and payback leading to a CAPEX preparation and project delivery.
