Position Summary

For all spend categories in your portfolio, you will support the Above Market category teams (Nestrade) to define sourcing strategies and implement them at plant level. You will manage vendor and plant relationships. You will ensure that materials are contracted for supplying NPPE plants while meeting their requirements for quality, delivery and performance in line with the sourcing strategies.

As Business Partner, you will provide sourcing expertise at Purina Emena Level, and manage relationship with Nestrade relevant buyers, Purina functions (E2E, D2D,...) and plants.

For the categories you will manage, you will be responsible for develop, validating, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies, with the support of a Senior PS and/or Head of Procurement Supply Team.

 

A day in the life of Procurement Business Partner

Deliver Business Value

  • Define, implement and monitor initiatives with plants to optimize Total Delivered Costs.
  • Resolve plant supply issues, identify corrective action plans, coordinate their implementation and monitor their effectiveness. Escalate as necessary.

Supply Management & Vendor Performance Management

  • Monitor Vendor Performance (OTIFIQ) across plants, review with Vendors and Plants and manage corrective actions, informing Strategic Buyers.
  • Initiate and manage collaborative improvements withs Vendor
  • Manage P2P exceptions  (price block invoices, outstanding payments, claim settlement, etc.).
  • Manage NPPE yearly vendor appraisal.
  • Monitor Risk Assesment. Define actions plan to offset the risks. Implement BCPs and contingency plans.

 

Nestrade Strategic buyers & Global Procurement Interfaces

  • Implement agreed sourcing strategies.
  • Support and implement Nestrade projects for NPPE.
  • Escalate important or recurrent quality, cost or service (competitiveness) issues.

 

Innovation & Renovation / Project Management

  • Actively manage the Procurement part of I&R projects, interacting with different stakeholders
  • Basic RFQ for Packaging Projects.
  • Support PPRSA for trials.
  • Manage pack design changes, incl. trigger masterdata creation at vendor end. For Raw, ensure process of QIR/PIR is effective.
  • Ensure timely delivery of new materials and phasing out of old materials, validate I2L delivery lead times and escalate potential issues.
  • Support PPRSA/Marketing/PTC in development of new materials.

 

Manage Financial Forecast

  • Align with Above Market category teams, in order to get detailed material prices forecasted through PRISM.
  • Elaborate the business OP processes for the spend categories in scope, seeking input from Above Market category teams.

 

Manage Vendor Agreements

  • Identify requirements, ensure timely creation/maintenance of Globe contracts for Raw and Pack Materials, ensuring group leverage and conformance to policies and Sourcing Strategies.
  • Provide information to Nestrade for RFI/RFQ.
  • Implement / maintain supply operations agreements.
  • Support negotiations from Above Market category teams.

 

Manage Material and Vendor Masterdata:

  • Ensure information is communicated according to agreed SLA.
  • Initiate timely vendor master data creation and maintenance
  • Routinely align material leadtime and MOQ masterdata with plants
What will make you successful
  • Master’s degree in Procurement or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement (or Ingredient field)
  • Ability to build strong credibility and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Financial understanding: Key business drivers, cost drivers of spend category in charge, budget and dynamic forecasting
  • System and software skills
  • Fluency in English
