Position Snapshot

  • Permanent position
  • Location: Issy les Moulineaux, France
  • Electrical Engineer, Electronical Engineer or Automation Engineer or equivalent in technical and/or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years in the corresponding technical field, preferably in the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
  • Minimum 10 years field experience (R&D or Operations), driving or supporting his/her area of expertise.
  • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross Functional teams.
  • Minimum 3 years Manager/Leader experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel

Position Summary

At Nestlé in France, our employees and company performance is measured by the concrete and positive contributions of everyone on its environment. As a TAP-Digital/Electricity&Automation Leader, you are responsible to lead and to define the direction of the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) as well as the Digital/Electricity&Automation platform within NPP-Europe - in line with the corporate guidelines and best-practices. Additionally, you are THE leader for the scouting, development and roll-out of digital initiatives in our factories and Capex projects, especially in relation to Digital Manufacturing within Operations.

 

A day in the life of...

Define and roll out Digital/Automation&Electricity standards and specifications for our factories and Capex projects

Lead in your area of competency, the pre-project documentation preparation and associated documentations, single-line diagrams, electrical load-and equipment lists, flow sheets, layouts, HAZOP, FDS and specifications

Compare offers, make recommendations & participate in technical/commercial negotiations for the purchasing of equipment & technical services and the establishment of key supplier agreements.

Contribute to the Best-in-Class repository: Best practice solutions, preferred suppliers & equipment, technical documentation, historical costs etc.

Stay abreast of technological trends and procedures through involvement with the PTC, R&D, outside organizations, suppliers & other professional contacts, periodicals, seminars, etc.

Lead and/or participate in technical taskforces and expert networks for specific areas of technology.

Scout, develop and support the deployment of digital initiatives in factories and Capex projects

Support TAP Manager for the management of Capex approval list in the area of competency

Support factory Master plans and other technical studies, covering product ranges, production lines and manning, future production capacities, layouts and the capital investments required.

Define and deliver detail standard design through "Capex Project / vertical" methodology.

Perform and support line commissioning, start-up and ramp-up.

In collaboration with Technical Procurement define maintain list of qualified suppliers.

Ensure that MES-E&A engineers in the factories master the processes and products in order to fully support initiatives related to Innovation Renovation and Continuous Improvement, protecting technological know-how. 

Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment and that one exhibits an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.
