We are looking for an Electromechanical Technician to join our exciting R&D Team. In this position, you will work closely with team members across Site Engineering, Pilot Plant, NQAC, Project, SHE, FSQM to set up new electrical installations, control boards and equipment, and provide electrical maintenance services to all electrical installations and equipment.
A day in the life of...
- Design, implement and supervise the E&A part of CAPEX projects and improvement projects in PTC Orbe, STC Orbe and CPW iCentre, based on Nestlé standards
- Support our pilot plants to ensure technical soundness in the field of electricity and mechanical engineering, for projects and maintenance activities
- Coach engineers of any specialty (including, but not exclusively, electrical and mechanic engineers) on the established engineering standards
- Thorough knowledge of the manufacturing of machined components.
- Fault detection is one of the major responsibilities, as well as the installation of new machinery. In most cases the machine must be dismantled before it is possible to determine where the fault lies. As it is often not possible to replace the defective component immediately, an electromechanician or millwright must be able to make temporary repairs, so that the machine can be used until the correct parts are available. This requires specialized knowledge of fitting.
What will make you successful
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 4-6 years of working experience in a relevant field
- Able to work independently with initiative
