We are looking for an agile Analytical Chemist with expertise in the fields of nutritional food and water testing. In this role, you will be establishing and building competence in analytical testing in raw materials and finished products developed through the I&R pipeline of the different product categories. The incumbent will also act as lab coordinator which includes lab daily activities such as lab quality management, logistics and inventory systems.
A day in the life of...
- Perform analytical chemistry testing in different food matrices
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve lab investigation – Out Of Specifications (OOS) independently
- Collaborate with relevant functions e.g. quality, pilot plant, procurement, product categories to drive continuous improvement, innovation and renovation
- Support method verification, validation and method development
- Perform admin, logistics and outsourcing if needed
- Supervise students and student projects and provide mentoring/coaching
What will make you successful
- Bachelors' Degree in the related scientific field
- Good knowledge of quality, safety and hygiene requirements
- Good level of experience (preferably more than 5 years) in benchwork and lab environment
- Proven competence in operating lab equipment (E.g. HPLC, UV/Vis, Microplate reader etc.)
- Good knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Flexible, agile and able to work in a fast pace environment
- Problem solving skills using root-cause analysis
- Strong written and oral communication skills (including presentations) in English
- Excellent interpersonal/teamwork skills
