Position Summary
As a proactive and self-motivated Associate Partnership Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing emerging technical or business prospects in the Research and Development Center based in Singapore. Being part of the Partnership team at our R&D centre, you will act as a bridge between marketing/business and science/technology environments by promoting purposeful inflow and external knowledge of emerging and innovative external capabilities, technologies and products to accelerate innovations that are aligned with the corporate priorities. This includes scouting, evaluating potential partners, building initiatives and events that allow for cross-exchanges, and leading projects to validate proof-of-concept (POC) or pilots.
In this role, you have sound knowledge and ability to gauge a broad range of technological and business fields, ideally in the Food and Beverage industry. You have strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills, as well as experiences in collaborating with external partners and working with international teams. You are driven with high passion and curiosity for innovative developments and are highly motivated to build right partnership models that can ensure long-term mutual benefits.
A day in the life of...
- Scout for, analyse and classify new local and regional partnership opportunities including capabilities, technologies or products
- Build and promote value proposition for external collaborations to accelerate innovations
- Lead and coordinate initiatives/events to promote exchanges between internal teams and external stakeholders
- Responsible for building and maintaining database of scouting activities
- Lead and conduct POC or pilot projects when required to evaluate feasibility and value proposition
- Support with creating communication materials related to open innovation for sharing with external and internal audiences
What will make you successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Life Sciences or Engineering
- 2 – 5 years’ working experience of professional experience in business development, project management, R&D experience
- Experience with managing mutual interest among stakeholders
- Strong communication skills for coordinating interests among stakeholders
- Display of project management skills to collaborate and deliver projects under certain timelines
- Competent in MS office Powerpoint
- Strong team player with good stakeholder management skills and an ability to work in a multicultural cross functional team
- Possess openness and curiosity for dynamic and future trends in technology, new business ideas and opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present ideas, concepts and opportunities with conviction and clarity
- Fluent in English, and any other ASEAN language is an asset
- Experience in Food & Beverage industry is an advantage
