We are looking for an Electrical & Automation Technician to support, implement and supervise the E&A part of CAPEX projects and improvement projects in R&D Singapore, based on Nestlé standards. In this role, you will support our pilot plants to ensure technical soundness in the field of electricity and automation, for projects and maintenance activities. Fault detection and repair is one of the major responsibilities, as well as the installation of new machinery electrical and control panels. In addition, you will provide engineering, production and application support for automation equipment and perform routine checks to monitor equipment operating parameters and performance.
A day in the life of...
- Participates and/or leads E&A projects in the pilot plant (Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation)
- Co-ordinate personnel (e.g. technicians, instrument fitters, contractors, etc.) to ensure that E&A objectives are satisfied.
- Ensure timely implementation of projects in the pilot plants, respecting budgets.
- Ensure at all times the technical integrity and performance of the Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation systems.
- Ensure at all times safe installations and operations through proper design, protection systems, procedures and training.
- Co-ordinate with Pilot Plant personnel, QA, Engineering and Product departments to resolve Electrical Instrumentation and Automation issues.
- Ensure that proper documentation (e.g. electrical, Structural and Equipment drawings) is written and/or updated with each project
- Perform modification, fabrication, fitting and installation for minor project.
- Available for occasional travelling for industrialization of processes in factories.
- Ensure facility building and pilot plant maintenance, in the form of continuous improvements, troubleshooting, etc.
- Ensure proper maintenance and update of electrical and automation systems and documentation supporting pilot plant activities
- Monitor plant and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Demonstrate an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations, including food safety.
- Manage, perform, check, all topic based on Electrical Safety Nestlé Standards.
- Manage and control critical spare parts and inventory record.
- Facilitate the introduction and implementation of new technologies in co-ordination with PTC Engineering, CO-Engineering.
