The Lab Technician is responsible to carry out testing of samples with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring adherence to procedures in both quality and timeliness. Operate and maintain equipment in optimal condition, meticulously documenting all processes in accordance with quality system and accreditation requirements. Actively seeks opportunities to enhance skills and competencies, aligning with the needs of respective sections and following the development plan.

A day in the life of a Lab Technician...

1. Weighing sample according to plan
2. Sample extraction and reagent preparation
3. Operation of analytical instrument 
4. Maintenance of basic lab apparatus e.g. pH meter, balance
5. Conduct behaviour base safety observation (BBSO) and taking part in assigned safety activities
6. Daily and scheduled housekeeping of laboratory
7. Replenish & ordering of laboratory technical material stock & inventory check

What Will Make You Successful...

1. Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Food science

2. At least one year experience in Lab in technique GCMS or GCMSMS
