The Site Engineering Manager will develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve fixed assets, manage resources to ensure reliable and cost-effective performance, liaise with stakeholders to improve overall processes and equipment, handle CAPEX projects management, ensure adherence to Nestle Engineering Excellence, and to develop technical and leadership skills of Engineering Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
1) Maintenance and Improvement (Scope: R&D and NQAC)
• Ensure proper and timely execution of maintenance and improvement plan of fixed assets
• Manage/Lead root cause analyses of repair activities
• Prioritize and properly allocate resources based on OPEX budget
• Ensure timely update of software and automation systems
• Identify and implement sustainability projects
• Carry out identified SHE related process (i.e. waste disposal, fire alarm system, mandatory inspections, etc)
• Ensure compliance to all applicable standards and to contract management
• Develop technical competency of technicians
2) Project Management and Project-related activities
• On a defined scope, decide priorities and resource allocations.
• Follow-up budget evolution in accordance with the agreed resource allocation.
• Contributing to the development of industrially sustainable technological solutions
• Investigate, Design, Implement and Test in pilot plant environment new engineering solutions
• Develop, test and validate, sustainable engineering solutions for factory environment as first deployment.
• Design prototype machines and processes in compliance to norms and regulations and considering existing industrial setup to investigate and test new ideas.
• Contribution to the development of Standards for new technologies / new processes
• Ensure "post launch visits", "feedback to design" and "Project Defect Analysis" processes enable continuous improvement and validation of standards.
3) Support the NPDI Process
• Test and drive to excellence the suggested solutions together with the all relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver the relevant documentation to the specific projects she/he is coordinating (EDD).
What will make you successful
• Overall 10-15 years experience in a similar technical field, preferably in the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry, with people managing responsibilities
• Successful deployment of new technologies or solutions across a Market/Business
• Participation in the development or improvement with external Suppliers
• Managing engineering projects, including Majors, with a multidisciplinary team
• Participation in the commissioning and start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s) or systems
• Participation in multi-disciplinary teams that focuses in process, product or packing optimization/continuous improvement
• Experience or exposure to different environments (different businesses, factories, etc.), through missions, projects, expatriation, experience outside Nestlé, etc.
• Track record of successful initiatives
