Position Summary

This position provides a strong understanding of Asset Maintenance, Total Performance Management (TPM), and Preventative Maintenance (PM) Pillar Methodology.This position will develop all the planning, scheduling, and stockroom work activities for the Maintenance and Engineering team.  Accessing, understanding, and basing decisions on information of all types from the Autonomous Maintenance Management (AMM) system is fundamental to the position. Prepares efficient and effective work plans for all preventive, predictive, condition-based, and project/backlog maintenance work. Supervises Technical Stockroom Team to ensure parts are available and ready. Ensures internal and external labor resources are available and coordinates execution of the plan in conjunction with the production schedule through working with the Production Scheduler in a timely manner. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares efficient and effective work plans for all Preventive, Predictive, Condition-Based, and Project/Backlog Maintenance work; works with the Technical Stockroom Team to ensure parts are available/sourced and is following the kitting process
  • Ensures internal and external labor resources are available and coordinates execution of the plan in conjunction with the production schedule through working with the Production Scheduler in a timely manner
  • Continually builds, maintains, and develops the annualized maintenance plans.  Prepares detailed shutdown schedules in conjunction with Production Scheduler to initiate and lead shutdown review meetings with maintenance, engineering, production, and quality resources. Leads risk assessment meetings
  • Optimization of Preventative Maintenance:  Supports Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO) through updating bill of materials (BOM), maintenance task review (MTR), AMM work order updates, and scheduling PMO activities.
  • Works with vendors to schedule maintenance activities, source parts, and services
  • Maintenance Performance Analysis:  Reconciles maintenance activities within SAP and AMM computer systems; performs AMM/maintenance evaluation & reports on maintenance work orders backlog, tag completion & backlog, completion rate, utilization, and evaluation of work order scheduling versus failure rate
  • Inventories hazardous materials as required; coordinates hazardous waste removal activities with outside vendor.
  • Communicates with different departments within facility in order to determine, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities.   
  • Assists with the sourcing of parts, tools, and equipment for maintenance projects. 
  • Demonstrates behaviors in support of Nestlé safety procedures and goals; reports safety hazards and issues to Engineering & Maintenance Manager or facility safety personnel.
  • Participates in company environmental continuous improvement initiatives by seeking out and employing increased resource efficiency opportunities; promotes and participates in waste conservation/management efforts (pollution prevention and recycling). 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or related preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of the functional, technical, and mechanical aspects related to maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and maintenance environment required
  • Prior maintenance supervision experience preferred

SKILLS:

  • Mechanical and electrical skills
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint 
  • GLOBE/SAP skills
