As a Senior Category Development in the category, you will need to define strategies and plans that deliver category/subcategory growth by collaborating with all stakeholders in the category and channels.
A Day In The Life as Senior Category Development - Milo
- Define category/subcategory growth strategies based on consumer, shopper, and customer insights.
- Drive sales through active participation in Monthly Business Planning, aligned with category objectives.
- Partner with Category Head and Channel Managers to identify priority channels and develop tailored plans.
- Build channel-specific category agendas to accelerate growth based on shopper and consumer understanding.
- Collaborate with sales, distributors, and agencies to gather feedback and ensure effective execution, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and continuously optimize the in-store “Picture of Success” across channels.
- Contribute to ICP (Integrated Commercial Planning) by identifying key opportunities and action plans.
- Recommend actionable in-store solutions and promotional guidelines based on shopper behavior and market insights.
- Review and evaluate promotional investments to ensure effectiveness.
- Develop and communicate winning commercial propositions for customers and field sales teams.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and principles.
What Makes You Successful
- Minimum 3 years of commercial experience, preferably with previous experience in Sales and Marketing
- Demonstrable record of success in a customer facing role
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and in presentations.
- Understand key business functions, customers and the selling process.
- Ability to motivate and influence people.
- Able to build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.
