We are looking for a Cost Analyst who will Provide support and expertise in the area of cost/costing analysis. Undertake complex and critical research, interpret the results of analysis and provide alternatives / recommendations for further consideration

 

Focus of this role is to:

 

 

  • Cost Savings Initiatives & Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and support cost improvement opportunities, contribute to improvement projects.
  • Analysis: Review and investigate daily, weekly, and monthly variances. Ensure data accuracy through regular health checks and follow up with stakeholders to correct errors. Discuss issues with the operations department as needed.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Validate factory reporting of monthly actuals, ensuring transparency. Review and validate period end and year end close reports, following Nestlé financial policies and Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed.
  • Strategic Evaluations : Perform financial simulations, product costing & estimates and CAPEX evaluations as required ensuring full transparency of costs.
  • Business Planning : Coordinate and provide inputs for budgeting, planning, and for the dynamic forecast. Active participation in Standard Cost Budget, Revision and Replacement Cost calculations. Ad hoc cost analysis for the needs of the business/factory/functional controllers.
  • Internal Controls / Compliance : Follow costing guidelines and associated standard operating procedures when generating financial documents and performing daily activities. Perform routine audit activities within the factory, in line with best practices, to ensure compliance on critical areas) stock taking. Appropriately escalate business risks.
  • Knowledge Transfer : Prepare and publish financial KPI data on a regular basis; perform analysis of KPI data and transfer this knowledge of the key figures to the relevant stakeholders in order to promote understanding. Perform accounting and costing knowledge transfer to shop floor and production supervisors.
  • Business Process & Systems :Ensuring all processes and analysis relating to costing master data, actual activities for Period End Close, and quarterly transfer price are completed accurately and on time, first time right.

Functional Responsibilities

 

 

  • Provide financial information to the factory management team.
  • Interact with various areas of factory operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, human resources, and applications group.
  • Collaborate with the management team and factory manager.
  • Work closely with Business Controllers, Head Office technical team, Nestle Business Services, Market Audit Team, Head Office Decision Support, Factory Purchasing, Head Office Purchasing, Head Office Costing, Head Office Accounting, and Factor Production/ Engineering/ HR/ Application Group departments.

 

  •  

         What will make you successful…

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, general accounting, and/or inventory control in a manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain
  • Good communication skills in English (both verbally and written);
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • User level in Microsoft Office (Excel) and SAP.
  • Self-driven in maintaining accurate information.
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels.
  • Good understanding of costing processes.
  • SAP experience is a plus
