We are looking for a Factory planning manager who is ensuring availability of Raw, Pack and Semi Finished Goods (FG) materials to meet dynamic production requirement, business/customer needs at targeted inventory and optimized Cost. Ensure Supply of FG from factory to receiving countries at targeted freshness through optimized, feasible and realistic production plans at minimal cost.

Lead, guide and develop Supply Chain functions at factories to ensure on time cost effective supply of FG from factories.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Manage, guide and develop the factory supply chain teams to:

- Ensuring availability of R&P, Ensure Supply of FG shipments from factory to OPC's at targeted freshness. Optimize Raw, Pack and Semi FG Inventory at optimized Cost. Improve agility in planning and execution through lead time improvements.

- Influence, lead, coordinate and drive alignment with larger supply chain team - Logistics, Category DSP Managers, Above the Market Supply Leads, Business Partners, Plant Managers, QA Managers, Application Group Manager

- Production and Capacity Planning: Alignment with DSP team, Production team, IP Specialist to optimize and stabilize production plans, capacity, shift patterns/sequence, labor planning, Rhythm wheel and Minimum Production Run. Ensure Detailed Production Schedule is consistently delivering achievable plans for both manufacturing and filling/packaging operations within given Master Production Schedule, whilst minimizing production costs.

- Inbound Material Management: Ensure raw & packaging material available on time at best overall costs for seamless manufacturing; co-ordinates with suppliers of raw and packaging materials to meet desired service levels while constantly seeking Supplier Performance Improvements. Provide visibility of current/projected issues and opportunities. Drive actions to mitigate out of stocks and take advantage of opportunities.

-  Work with HUB operations team by continuous improvements in Supply Chain functions, collaborate with suppliers and driving improvements that are required for operations, ensure on time information and documents flow for on time receipt and dispatch of materials

- Manage Compliance and Risks. Align, coordinate and get update from Business Partners on Alternative Suppliers development and reduction of single sourced materials. Alignment on Business Continuity in the factory across functions. Manage supply risks and exceptions.

- Standardization of Process and Governance. Implementation of tools to enable data driven decision making. Training, development and knowledge transfer.

  • Inventory: Formulate and align Raw and Pack Inventory strategy for Factories/BU's and align with DSP, Procurement, Supply Chain Leadership Team, Factory Leadership Team and Finance. Quarterly Review and alignment of Stock cover policies with DSP, Procurement and Factory SC Teams
  • Cost: Ensure the delivery of outstanding service of factory Supply Chain at a minimum cost-to-serve. Lead and Manage Raw and Pack upstream logistics cost, 3PL Costs. Support decision making for advance buys (material prices) with scenarios with E2E cost mindset. Support FG cost improvements initiatives like line loading, Ex Factory Loading and Direct Deliveries to customers.
  • Service: Drive improvements on Supplier Service levels, Master Schedule Attainment, Daily Schedule Attainment which positively impact COF. Building relationship to collaborate and improve agility
  • Manage Compliance and Risk: Ensure smooth operations and close collaboration with all internal partners at Factory, Supply Chain, Procurement and external partners as Suppliers, Customs and Transport providers. Ensure compliance with factory standards and IMM guidelines
  • Communication and Alignment: Manage the relationships, alignment, flow of information, effective communication between Factory planning and internal business partners such as DSP, Plants, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Finance.
  • People: Plan and action development of competencies, skills, careers, succession plans.
  • Development and coaching of factory supply chain personnel in close cooperation with Supply Chain Management.
  • Develop People to have a high-performance culture - Functional, Leadership, Mental agility, NLF, usage of Digital tools, cross functional engagement and collaboration, stake holder management
  • Monthly Business Planning (MBP): Lead alignment through Weekly Production Review and Monthly Production Reviews. Drive Improvement, standardization and actions in WPR's and MPR's linking to Corporate MOR . Manage relationships with internal and external stake holders and effective flow of information between the Demand and Supply, Procurement, Control Tower, SC Finance, BU, Factory and Hub Operation

Effectively contribute to the Nestlé Competitive Planning solution by active and constructive MBP and Dynamic Forecast (DF) processes

  • NCE Advanced Practices: Engage and Collaborate with peer factory Supply Chain managers to share best practices, liaise with Lean Champion, DSP, Supply Chain, Procurement, Factory Management, Application Group, Suppliers to drive continuous improvement.

E.g. Benchmarking, E2E Projects, LC2A, Supplier Performance Improvements, Supplier Facing Supply Chain, Strategic sourcing change

  • BCP Coordination: Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Update and sign off for both factories yearly. Ensure BCP or preventive action is in place at the plant for the key FERT codes in line with Market Business Strategy from a Source, Make and Delivery perspective.

 

What will make you successful…

  • Academic Min. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Management, Supply Chain (Logistics, Procurement, Planning, MRP etc.), Engineering
  • 3 - 5 Years relevant and successful experience in a managerial role. Experience in handling at least two of the following areas preferably in demand and supply planning or production planning:
  • Manufacturing
  • Industrial Performance
  • Demand & Supply Planning
  • Warehousing
  • Inbound Material Management
  • Production Planning
  • Relevant operational experience at market/plant level in the following areas is beneficial:
