Execute HQ IS-IT Strategy, deliver Market Roadmap, plans and delivers key Information Systems initiatives and projects, providing world-class services and proactively cooperate with cross functional business partnerships locally and globally while identifying new opportunities and capabilities required to drive Market growth.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT/IS MANAGER:
Defines Local Information Systems Strategy in alignment with HQ Strategy:
- Ensures the overall HQ strategy is cascaded appropriately to the market.
- Align strategic IS plans with business objectives. Clearly communicate the objectives and associated accountabilities so they are understood by all, with the IS strategic options identified, structured and integrated with the business plans.
- Achieve competitive advantage, business innovation, and improved operational effectiveness and efficiency by exploiting information technology developments.
Supports Market Cross Functional Alignment:
- Manages and delivers market IS Roadmap finding the correct balance between HQ requirements and MEA Regional requirements and market cross departmental needs.
- Fosters partnership between IS and other departments to enable the effective and efficient use of IS-related resources and provide transparency and accountability of the cost and business value of solutions and services.
- Defines and implement key business partnership with external vendors within market in alignment with procurement.
Manages IS Business & Technology Service Portfolio:
- Manages the systems setup/configuration of HQ and local applications to achieve local needs.
- Accountable for services identification and service levels agreement with the business and compare them with the current service portfolio to identify new or changed services or service level options.
- Accountable to determine the necessary IT hardware and software required to meet the overall business strategy.
- Accountable for Market Asset Management: maintain an up-to-date and accurate record of all IT assets required to deliver services and ensure alignment with HQ configuration management and financial management.
Manages the IS/IT Budget:
- Develops and gains approval for the CAPEX Budget based on the OP Approved strategic plan.
- Manages the Budget for the market through IS/IT initiatives. Establishes Budget and monitor the costs for IS/IT related expenses.
Ensure operational efficiency:
- Works closely with all functional groups and IS team to identify, document, and resolve technology system and process issues, ensure continuous improvement practices are in place.
- Accountable for service availability, efficient management of resources, and optimization of system performance through prediction of future performance and capacity requirements (KPIs Management).
- Ensures IT infrastructure and related events are monitored. Stores sufficient chronological information in operations logs to enable the reconstruction, review, and examination of the time sequences of operations and the other activities surrounding or supporting operations.
- Achieves increased productivity and minimize disruptions through quick resolution of user queries and incidents.
- Enables fast and reliable delivery of change to the business and mitigation of the risk of negatively impacting the stability or integrity of the changed environment.
- Continues critical business operations and maintain availability of information at a level acceptable to the enterprise in the event of a significant disruption.
Excels in Compliance- Local Governance:
- Delivers in local IS governance in full alignment with HQ.
- Leads and manages the implementation of IS Security and Policies
- Ensures the business roles, responsibilities, levels of authority and segregation of duties. This ensures that the business knows where the data are and who is handling data on its behalf.
- Ensure that IS consultants and contract personnel know and comply with the organization’s policies and meet agreed- on contractual requirements.
- Leads the IS Team to create and implement Standard Operating procedures within the IS Function
- Implement a Decision-making process to prioritize the allocation of resources and rules for discretionary investments by Departments.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or IT related field of study
Experience:
- At least 7 years of experience in IS/IT, and 3 – 5 years of experience Demonstrated capability to lead and develop people IS/IT team.
- Experience working for Retail brand/company
- Project Management experience - planning, leading & managing through projects
- Facilitation of issues and conflict resolution in a cross-functional environment
- Stakeholder management in a matrix organisation
- Strong people leadership and management, and talent development experience.
- E-commerce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP knowledge and work experience
