We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor, responsible for warehouse daily operations as per the best practices and in full compliance (Safety, Quality & Regulatory). This is achieved through proper management of the warehouse resources to deliver the right quality at the right place and in time. 

Focus of this Role 

  • Operate as per the best practices to ensure Safety, Quality and Compliance. 

  • Manage and organize resources to deliver the right quality in time and with reduced cost. 

  • Collaborate and support the warehouse and factory team to deliver as per the factory goals. 

A Day in the Life – Functional Responsibilities 

  • Safety (SHE): Provide the team with a safe workplace ensuring all areas are clean and clearly marked using the 5S and Nestlé good warehousing practices. Ensure safety requirements of all employees in line with Nestlé and local regulations. Monitor and ensure updated certifications and licenses. 

  • Quality: Ensure proper flow in and out of the materials as per the defined food safety and quality requirements. Loading and offloading operations are performed efficiently as per the defined targets; deviations must be reported and corrective actions implemented. Ensure materials are released on time to support production lines. 

  • Operations and Performance: Operate the warehouse to achieve lower costs while ensuring efficiencies and flexibility in managing inbound and outbound activities. 

  • People Development: Develop and maintain competencies in accordance with PDP through proper evaluation, constructive feedback, and development plans. 

Budget and Additional Responsibilities 

  • Department Budget Management: Oversee and manage the warehouse department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets. 

  • Resource Allocation: Plan and allocate resources efficiently to meet operational demands while staying within budget constraints. 

  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services within budget. 

  • Inventory Cost Control: Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce holding costs and minimize waste. 

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to management, highlighting budget performance and cost-saving initiatives. 

  • Technology Utilization: Leverage warehouse management systems and automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. 

  • Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard departmental resources. 

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations and financial performance. 

 

What Will Make You Successful 

Academic Experience: Bachelor’s degree. 

Operational Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience, including 2 years at a supervisory level. 

Good knowledge of Warehouse Operations and Systems. 

Warehouse/Supply Chain Management Diploma/Certification will be an advantage.
