Position Summary

 

Our factory in Jefferson, Wisconsin and has a tradition of manufacturing going back over 100 years. The factory is clean and highly automated. Our maintenance team is highly trained and capable. We are continuing to grow and are currently expanding our manufacturing capability. As a Maintenance Mechanic at our Jefferson facility, you will enjoy competitive weekly pay starting at $27.78hr+, overtime pay, up to 7.5% quarterly bonus, full health benefits, 401k match, a union pension, generous PTO, excellent maternity/paternity leave and so much more! In this role, you’d be responsible for managing the preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You’ll handle projects that span the spectrum of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatics, and welding responsibilities. The pay progression plan follows: Maintenance Technician 1 $29.65 Maintenance Technician 2 $30.98, Maintenance Technician 3 $32.31, Maintenance Technician 4 $33.64, Maintenance Technician 5 $34.93*

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain Automated Industrial Equipment in a high-speed canning facility.
  • Make minor repairs on general plant machinery such as fans, blowers, conveyors, belts, mechanical and screw conveyors.
  • Work with the Engineering Department on new installations and machine improvements.
  • Work with the Production Team to improve the efficiency of the machines and processes.
  • Apply basic electrical and electronic principals in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of plant systems. Current Openings are on 2nd shift – 8hr shift, 3rd shift 8hr shift, and a rotating 3 on 2 off, 12 hour night shift.


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a technical degree / certification completed
