For more than 30 years, our Management Development Associate program has developed our future leaders. This program allows you to embark on a personal and professional development experience a classroom can’t offer.


You'll be coached from the beginning, solidifying your career trajectory to learn and grow as a Safety Management Development Associate. By joining Nestle Purina you’ll experience information systems, quality assurance, supply chain, engineering, human resources, production, R&D engineering, and operations performance to understand how each of these areas collaborate with the safety management work that you’ll do. Following from there, you’ll be immersed in a highly technical and quality-driven production environment to play a key role in ensuring we have the appropriate people resources and safety awareness to achieve our standards of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.


Why a leadership developmental role with us versus somewhere else? Taking the safety path is a full-time position that’s a fast track to management on the manufacturing side of the business. You’re the future leader of our business! 
 

  • Implement and utilize assessment and risk prediction processes to ensure effective identification, communication, and mitigation of workplace hazards.
  • Investigate work related incidents to identify root causes and actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct safety inspections and observations.
  • Make recommendations for safety improvements throughout the plant.
  • Provide effective Safety Training that includes Safety Orientation programs for new hires and contractors.
  • Organize, coordinate, and conduct training for the Safety Committee.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be open to relocation to one or more of our 24 production facilities across the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related discipline attained or expected by June 2025


OTHER

  • Prior co-op, practicum, or internship experience; manufacturing experience; student organization or other leadership experience 

 

The approximate pay for this position is $68,500 annually. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with Company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
