Position Summary
Nestled at the confluence of the Rock and Crawfish rivers, our factory has been a cornerstone since 1910. As one of the largest manufacturers in the region, we ship countless truckloads and railcars of beloved brands like Fancy Feast®, Friskies®, and Pro Plan®. Beyond our mass production, our Jefferson factory proudly donates 1.2 million cans of food annually, supporting over 40 animal shelters and organizations. Our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Staff Engineer, you’ll oversee capital projects from beginning-to-end, including concept, scope, estimate, cost, resources, and funding. Challenge yourself to lead the design and implementation of innovative projects with your integrity, passion, and expertise helping us drive performance. Be the voice of your team as you work collaboratively with associates and contractors to successfully manage and deliver key projects.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
- Develop designs and solutions in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary, and accounting procedures and specifications.
- Direct the installation of new equipment and/or modification/rearrangement of existing equipment for assigned projects.
- Monitor outside contractors to assure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting.
- Prepare estimates, schedules, and issuance of all documents/drawings for construction on assigned projects.
- Evaluate bids, award contracts, and issue purchase orders to provide engineering consulting services to business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $72,000- $101,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
