Facility Safety Health & Enviromental Specialist
The Facility SH&E Specialist promotes excellence in Safety, Health, and Environmental Sustainability at the site by providing SH&E guidance, support, and training. This position will ensure daily compliance with government law/regulations as well as Nestle Policy. The Specialist Facility SH&E will complete and maintain a variety of assessments to identify hazards and collaborate with the onsite team to create an action plan to eliminate identified hazards.
Provide SH&E Leadership (35%)
- Foster a culture where Safety, Health, and Environmental Sustainability are ingrained as a core value.
- Coordinate, Support, and/or facilitate all SH&E trainings to ensure compliance and competency.
- Provide support, guidance, and leadership for all SH&E programs.
- Provide guidance and oversight of incident investigations. Ensure follow-up is complete to minimize future exposure and proper records/documentation is maintained.
Assess and Manage Risks (25%)
- Analyze SH&E conditions and recommends changes to continuously improve facility SH&E performance. Participate on the SHE committee team.
- Conduct risk assessments for existing jobs and new equipment/processes.
Implement Management Systems (25%)
- Ensure site maintains continuous “audit ready” state of compliance with company SH&E policies and procedures as well as all applicable external regulatory requirements.
- Implement processes and procedures (SOP's) to ensure facility compliance with company and regulatory agency policies – including federal, state, and local legislation and also regulations pertaining to worker safety and preservation of the environment.
Delight Consumers and Live up to Stakeholder Expectations (10%)
- Maintain and report accurate SH&E data/metrics at the site as well as in designated Nestle systems.
Protect the Future by Making the Right Choices (5%)
- Ensure the practical implementation and day-to-day compliance with applicable Security and SH&E guidelines.
What are the qualifications/certification required in this market/country?
- A B.S. degree in safety, health, environmental or similar discipline is required.
- Professional certifications in SH&E-related fields are considered beneficial and may include CSP, CIH, OHST, NEBOSH, etc.
