Position Summary

The Factory Engineering Manager position is responsible for managing the engineering activities relating to the factory such that employee health and safety, product safety and the protection of the environment are never compromised and that all engineering activities enhance product quality, plant performance and the business objectives.  This position is also responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic vision of the factory in areas of manufacturing reliability.  The Factory Engineering Manager is a key member of the factory management team.
Responsibilities  
Supervise the implementation of the Factory Engineering teams plan and objectives in accordance with Nestlé practices
Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources 
Lead the Factory Engineering team and maintain proficiencies, motivation and performance to achieve the team’s mission and objectives
Propose and control the budget as well as the factory's capital investment plans and related capital expenditures
Supervise our capital investments and request for approval and reporting are in line with the guidelines for Capital Investment
Ensure that projects are crafted with a high degree of flexibility to better enable the operations to adjust to a changing environment keeping in mind safety and the environment
Execute M&I in accordance with the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy using Consequence Driven Maintenance (CDM) as the multi-disciplined approach to proactively maintain/improve the fixed assets and Asset and Maintenance Management as the process to manage the asset lifecycle
Collaborate closely daily with Production and Quality Assurance to resolve technical issues and to ensure efficient operation
Ensure environmental compliance with Nestlé Environmental management System, Nestlé Operational Safety, Health and Risk Management Strategy
Ensure execution of maintenance is in accordance with the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy by using the Consequence Driven Maintenance philosophy
Optimize predictive maintenance technologies to minimize unplanned downtime and utilize planned downtime for scheduled and Condition-Based Maintenance
Initiate and coordinate the implementation of new processes/technologies with local, market, PTC, CTU and SBU engineering
Maintain and develop functional expertise in technical operations by providing training and development programs
Manage resources continuously to align with factory objectives and business strategies, include outsourcing opportunities
Requirements
B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Process required
5-7 years experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing facility including maintenance responsibilities
Minimum 5 years of leadership/management experience required
Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R)
