**Position Summary**
The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic II to improve and sustain our functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing
equipment and machinery. Works under the supervision of the Maintenance supervisor and may
receive guidance from maintenance/engineering, operations and plant management team members.
This position has completed required training and evaluation of knowledge required for level II.
**Responsibilities**

• Always works in a safety conscious manner.
• Assists in the cross training of Maintenance Team and other Team Members.
• Assists in preflight of systems to ensure efficient start-ups.
• Recommends improvements to reduce cost, production downtime and increase efficiency in area of responsibility.
Implements improvements as approved.
• Consistently applies effective troubleshooting skills.
• Completes cost-effective repairs in a timely manner.
• Interprets and understands engineering drawings, manufacturer's instructions and plant maintenance procedures and
specifications.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow team members and other departments. Communicates with
various levels of supervision and management in all departments.
• Able to use and demonstrate proper care of tools and instruments required in job assignments.
• Ensures that all machinery is in safe working condition. Adheres to safety policies and procedures; fosters a safe
work environment; and monitors work habits of facilities personnel.
• Adheres to GMP, operational policies and procedures \& ensures that contractors in area follow same.
• Strictly adheres to proper Lockout/Tagout and Confined space procedures in all required situations.
• Maintains compliance with factory attendance policies and procedures.
• Completes assigned work orders on a timely basis, including scheduled, emergency and preventative maintenance
work orders. Enters required data into the Nestlé CMMS program completely and accurately. Recommends changes
to PM program to improve productivity.
• Document any modifications made to systems i.e. wiring, programming, mechanical changes, etc.
• Strives for a low level of downtime on equipment/systems in area of responsibility.
• Solves repetitive problems in area of responsibility and ensures implementation and documentation.
• Anticipates problems and takes appropriate action prior to a loss/downtime of facility/production equipment and
systems. Follows-up to eliminate repetitive downtime.
• Assist in the organization and coordination of on-going training programs to increase departmental efficiency and
effectiveness.
• Actively monitors the preventative maintenance program to ensure that it is fully implemented and that all inspections
and repairs are carried out on time.
• Capable of working with little or no supervision.
• Team members shall understand and follow factory management systems for human safety, food safety
and/or environmental management. Understand and actively work toward achieving management system
targets and objectives.
• Team members shall follow the plant rules, procedures, and/or practices related to management systems.
Team members will report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with
regulations, and refer to the appropriate management system on all related procedures and programs.
• All other duties as assigned to include both essential and nonessential job functions.
Education
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required
• Must complete level II training and pass skills evaluation
o External training and experience determined to be of equivalent
level may be considered
Experience
• Working experience with power transmission, pneumatics, electrical,
and hydraulics as applicable in manufacturing and packaging
equipment.
• Working experience in digital electronics and instrumentation.
• Working experience w/ Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC systems.
• Working experience of 480V and 4160V electrical systems.
Skills
• Must have good general mechanical, maintenance and troubleshooting
skills
• Must be familiar with manufacturing equipment systems and operations
• Must have good electrical skills to include troubleshooting of motors
and AC/DC electrical control circuits, PLC, and instrumentation on
support equipment. Must be able to read electrical drawings and
schematics for electrical circuits.
• Must have ability to interpret, understand, and modify PLC Programs
