Market Packaging Development Manager

Market Packaging Development Manager

Job Description:

  • Ensure communication between Businesses , Purchasing and Factory by attending the necessary meetings.
  • Follow up the new products and  process projects and ensure they are in line with project timing and take the actions as required.
  • Ensure that the packaging material for new products complies with internal and external regulations.                                                                                                                                              
  • Act as the link between R&D and Factory Operations, and ensure product packaging knowledge is maintained and developed within the AG.
  • Approval of new product packaging artwork.
  • Required packaging related approvals in SAP.
  • To ensure that all BOMs, packaging specifications and associated systems are in place according to schedule.
  • Organize and conduct new product trials and providing samples to Marketing.                                                 
  • Support Purchasing  to manage and introduce new competitive supplier, support supplier assessment &selection/approval of suppliers from the technical point of view.
  • Follow up of adaptation of  production line for new packaging material.
  • Coordinating packaging related Co-Manufacturing activities during development stage.
  • Drive innovation-renovation related packaging projects for the defined product groups including CPW  and Co-Packers.                                                                                                                                                     
  • Ensure communication between Market , CT-Pack and related PTC’s for packaging related subjects.                                                                                                                                          
  • Provide a comprehensive technical support service to factories and co-manufacturers, including training to build up product packaging & packaging competence.
  • Contribute / Lead OPEX saving packaging projects in the factory.                                                                          
  • To provide a comprehensive technical packing support service.
  • To identify opportunities to realize savings and quality improvements.                                
  • Provide feedback and coaching to individuals and team in order to develop their competencies.                     
  • Ensure succession plans and development - coaching of direct reports (where applicable) including development of specific training.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Engineering, preferably in Chemistry or Food Engineering
  • Min 6 years of  Packaging development in FMCG Packaging development and packing operation in FMCG,
  • Having problem solving approach,
  • Project management knowledge,
  • Supplier & converter auditing experience,
  • Fluency in English
  • AUTOCAD knowledge is an asset.
