Position Summary

Work Contents of the Department
You will be a member of the Beverage Business Group, the core of Nestlé Japan's business planning and development. This department is responsible for managing brands such as Nescafe, Starbucks, Milo, Brite, and KremaTop. Having a consumer centric mindset, we stay close to our consumers by providing various formats such as powder, liquid, and coffee machines that creates a competitive advantage and also stimulates consumption of our product portfolio, both in-home and out-of-home. Through leveraging these activities, the Department is responsible for the sustainable sales and profit growth for new and existing products within the product platform.


Job Description
As an Assistant Brand Manager, Starbucks (Consumer Packaged Goods sold in supermarkets, convenience stores, drug stores), you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead product development projects and commercial innovations based on the deep understanding of consumers  
- Build and enhance the brand value by understanding consumers insights
- Lead brand management and marketing activities such as communication strategy development, competitive analysis, packaging communication, with a consumer centric mindset
- Develop and execute integrated marketing communication strategies/plans with a focus on digital marketing
- Manage external creative/media agencies to develop communication strategies which enhance the brand value 
- Responsible for pipeline management for product innovation and renovation projects including P&L management
- Manage and optimize advertising and promotion expense 
- Understand the omni-channel environment and contribute to category strategy development, and provides strategic proposals on pricing and sales promotion strategies as well as SKUs for key channels/customers
- Lead the development of functionally-aligned commercial brand plans in collaboration with relevant internal departments; tracks and monitors impact on brand performance and brand health.
- Responsible for managing internal and external stakeholders as well as collaborating closely with local/global cross-functional team

Required Qualifications, Experiences & Skills

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
Language: Business level English(CEFR:B2 and above, IELTS:6 and above, TOEIC 800 and above)and Japanese (writing, reading and speaking): official language in Nestlé Japan is Japanese. There are many employees who communicate in English and do not speak Japanese in the department; there are many opportunities to use English for conversing, document preparation.
This position requires reporting and stakeholder management in English.

Experiences or Skills (Must Have)
Minimum 3 years of brand management/product marketing experience in the FMCG related industry.

 

Experiences or Skills (Nice to Have)
・Digital marketing experience
・Marketing experience leveraging Profit & Loss Account (Understanding of total commercial spend and key P&L drivers)
・Work experience as a sales representative or in trade marketing in the FMCG related industry is a plus.

Working Conditions

Annual Gross Income: Around 6.5M to 8.0Myen (Pay Basis: Monthly) *It will be determined in consideration of age, experience and skills.
Bonus: Bonus-Twice a year / Salary increase-Once a year (April) *It will be determined based on work conditions and, individual and company performance.
Allowance: Commuting expenses (paid according to company regulations) etc.
Holidays: Annual holiday 123 days / 2 days off per week (day off: Saturday, Sunday, Public holidays, Summer / New Year holidays) etc.
Paid leave: 10 days in the first year (Given on the start day) up to 20 days
Working hours: 09:00~17:45 (Break 60 min. actual work 07 hours 45 min.) After a certain period Discretionary Working System for Management-Related Work (After a certain period)
Social Insurance: Health Insurance/Employees’ Pension/Unemployment Insurance/Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance
