As a Global Procurement Manager for Sugar category at Nestlé Global Procurement, your mission is to manage the procurement spend for nine sugar markets in AOA, covering sugar sourcing strategy encompassing commercial, ESG and supplier management for those markets. We operate on a truly global scale, bringing together over 40 nationalities across three dynamic hubs in Switzerland, Panama, and Malaysia. How you’ll make an impact as a Global Procurement Manager – Sugar
- In charge of overall sourcing strategy for sugar in selected AOA markets.
- Manage communication with specific markets around Nestle hedging strategy and understand tariffs and local vs import sourcing options in compliance with local government regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct RFPs, contract management, e-auctions and supplier management to support the overall sourcing strategy.
- Use of procurement tool such ARIBA, E-Auction, MACC and CRM to support the execution of the sugar sourcing strategy
- Work with the relevant Markets Business Partner/Procurement Specialist, country finance controllers and Category Technology Advisor Group (CTAG) to develop project execution and follow up plans.
- Work with Global Category Lead to ensure alignment with the global sugar strategy and coordinate with other sugar buyers for any overlap of common suppliers and sharing best practices.
What will make you successful
- University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain (or related field).
- Proven experience in implementation of sourcing strategies for direct material or indirect spend categories (commodities or sugar favorable).
- Experience in core procurement skills such as contract management, supplier management and supplier negotiation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with excellent communication, influencing ability, and experience navigating complex organizations.
- Strong project management skills.
- Fluency in English, additional languages as asset.
