Position Summary
To ensure effective management of factory operations with a focus on people development, compliance with safety and hygiene standards, and maintaining high-quality manufacturing processes. The role is responsible for coaching employees, enforcing standard operating procedures, ensuring smooth factory operations, and coordinating timely product launches in line with business objectives.
A Day in the Life…
- Ensure timely deployment of the People Development Plan and assure team competencies through proper training, equipment use, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Enforce strict compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the shift.
- Coach employees to fulfill and exceed job requirements using the NCE approach.
- Maintain clean and orderly working areas and installations, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Monitor and enforce personnel hygiene and safety practices, including protective clothing, shoe change, and hand washing.
- Ensure continuous line control and take immediate corrective actions to maintain prescribed quality and compliance with manufacturing instructions.
- Manage effective employee and industrial relations to ensure smooth factory operations.
- Coordinate with the business unit to ensure timely launch of new products to the market.
- Oversee adequate maintenance of installations in collaboration with quality, engineering, and administration teams.
What Will Make You Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Science, or Business).
- Relevant experience in factory or manufacturing operations management.
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven people management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in leading projects within a factory environment, including confronting inappropriate behavior positively and using everyday coaching to engage the workforce.
- Experience with mass balance and mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency in computer skills, at least Microsoft Office.
