Position Summary 
Responsible for overseeing transport planning from Port Qasim Karachi for the whole southern region of Pakistan, as well as managing internal transfers between Nestle factories. Continuously striving to enhance aligned processes and routes to drive efficient deliveries while collaborating proactively with stakeholders across the network.

 
A day in the life of a Transport Planning Associate:
•    Execute daily transport requirements, ensuring on-time dispatches and keeping vehicle halting in check and ensuring timely communication/escalation to the relevant stakeholders.
•    Oversee and monitor AI camera observations for the dedicated fleet, plan and execute driver training based on the findings.
•    Lead inbound and outbound operations by planning resources adequately, including material handling operators and labor, while adhering to Nestle's safety protocols.
•    Compile and update data on key activities such as overtime, labor productivity, and material handling utilization.
•    Prepare and oversee the monthly inventory reconciliation report with the team, ensuring proper sign-offs.
•    Coordinate with the sales team and customer service team to ensure smooth ordering and execution.
•    Oversee the monthly internal shifting plan in collaboration with the demand and supply planner, ensuring supply execution aligns with changing circumstances.
•    Ensure the supply of empty pallets to production and take corrective action in case of any shortage well in advance.
•    Maintain FEFO (First Expired, First Out) status control while loading.
•    Ensure compliance with all operations according to SOPs.
•    Implement Good Warehouse Practices and the Nestle Food Safety Management System in the distribution center.
•    Maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams, transporters, and team leaders to provide updates on all transport-related queries.

•    Effective communication skills are crucial for coordinating with various stakeholders, including internal and external team members.
•    The ability to identify and resolve issues or challenges that may arise during transport is essential. 
•    Prioritizing tasks, setting realistic timelines, and ensuring timely delivery are crucial for success in this role.
•    Being adaptable and flexible in dealing with unexpected situations is important for success.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft excel and power point is a must.
