Position Summary
We are looking for an AI Engineering & Data Science Intern, to support our team in shaping the future of digital transformation in nutrition and product development. Join our Innovation Unit – Data & AI team, where you will work at the intersection of data science, genAI, data engineering, and food science. This unique opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience with AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and diverse datasets, including sensory and consumer insights, process parameters, and more.
A Day in the Life of an AI Engineering & Data Science Intern
- Support the exploration and prototyping of GenAI solutions, such as AI agents, prompt engineering, and Large Language Models (LLM) ‑based assistants that help scientists and product developers
- Contribute to building RAG pipelines that connect internal knowledge sources with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Assess data quality to ensure information is accurate and reliable for analytics
- Support the creation of simple dashboards and tools to help make data easier to understand and use
- Assist with exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and support decision-making
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) scientific data from various sources using advanced data manipulation techniques
- Document all work clearly to ensure transparency and reproducibility
What Will Make You Successful
- Current master’s student or a recent master’s graduate in data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Strong interest in Generative AI, LLMs, AI automation, or intelligent agents
- Background in food science is a plus
- Curious, fast learner, eager to explore new technologies and approaches
- Collaborative spirit
- Familiarity with Python and Dash, or similar tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
