Position Summary
Experienced Process Engineer with solid work-experience in designing and operating Infant Formula Production Plants, particularly for Inline Dosing Systems, Oil Handling, Lecithin Handling and its integration to the Evaporator with heat treatment and high-pressure lines. Additionally experience in late differentiation with powder handling is a benefit. Proven expertise in both operations and engineering, with a focus on optimization, troubleshooting, design, and commissioning of various systems and processes.
A Day in the Life of an Engineering Specialist
- Process Unit ownership on Inline Dosing Systems and Oil Handling systems: Definition and guardian of standard building blocks, including design, automation integration and commissioning. Ensuring the performance validation and process capability verification.
- Provide technical assistance and lead operation improvement initiatives for global installed footprint for Inline Dosing Systems and Oil Handling in Nestle Infant Formula production.
- Process Ownership on CIP (Cleaning-in-Place): Design and improve existing CIP stations and systems for Infant Formula Plants, support markets to validate CIP systems and drive digital transformation of CIP.
- Drive digitalization for liquid processes for higher operator centricity, including dashboarding and improved controls for increased quality assurance
- Powder Handling: Handle raw materials for dissolving and dry mixing for late differentiation in the factory. Troubleshoot existing operations, conduct commissioning of new dry mixing lines and perform process capability assessments.
What will make you successful
- Degree in an engineering discipline, ideally process or chemical engineering
- Strong complementary knowledge on safety, hygiene, quality and process capability assessments
- Solid operation/factory experience in infant formula production
- Proven track record in Liquid Processing technology
- Strong experience in the design, installation and commissioning of Liquid Processing technologies in Infant Formula application, particularly with Oil Handling and Inline Dosing systems and their integration with a CIP system
- Strong processing troubleshooting skills in industrial environment.
- Strong experience in managing capital investment projects.
- Proven experience of defining the way of operating plants with a translation into a PCD (Process Control Descriptions), verification of the automation and ultimately lead the CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, Verification) of Liquid Processing technologies in production plants.
- Personal relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
- Openness and curiosity for dynamic and future trends in technology.
- Passion and skills in sharing technical knowledge to increase competency in factories
- Solid English is a must, German and Spanish is a benefit.
