Our Research & Development Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging in the areas of Dairy and Nutrition. The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Dairy plans and develops Innovation & Renovation pipelines to support growth and profitability of our Dairy business via a consumer centric approach. It ensures scientific, technological and manufacturing excellence through the development of the right competences.
Within the InnovationTeam of NPTC Dairy, we are looking for an open-minded Group Leader working with us on the future of Dairy products. This includes research on traditional protein sources such as milk and whey as well as new areas such as plant proteins or other alternative protein sources.

We are looking for a Group Leader Consumer and Sensory Insight that will lead sensory and consumer understanding activities, competences and resources for Global Dairy to ensure innovation meets consumer expectation, and is aligned with business strategies. They will be responsible for developing short and long term plans to close key category insight gaps, and execute those plans.
- Build consumer centric mindset and ensures unit recognition and credibility - manage and influence stakeholders accordingly
- Ensure early-phase collaboration between all project stakeholders (R&D, businesses and others) to facilitate sharing and alignment in consumer and sensory (objectives, plan, outcomes, existing knowledge)
- Activate and encourage a consumer-centric mindset within NPTC notably through a close collaboration with business on consumer and sensory related activities
- Ensure build-up of consumer and sensory expertise, tools and techniques and their dissemination within the product category/ business
- Supports team to provide consultancy and trainings to markets, businesses and in NPTC on Consumer and Sensory related topics and methodologies
- Recruits, motivates and develops staff to ensure high-quality competencies to provide adequate level of support to clients
- University degree in Business Administration or Food Science (or related discipline) or equivalent experience in R&D
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sensory evaluation
- Experience of market research and product testing with consumers
- Experience in managing groups of 4-10 people
- Understanding of relevant business / product category
- Understanding of relevant technology platforms
- Fluent in English written & spoken
