Position Summary
We at Nestlé Research & Development in Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland develop for Nestlé worldwide new products, processes, and packaging concepts in the areas of Dairy and Nutrition.
Within the Product Development Department of NPTC Dairy, and more specifically in the Children Health & Growth Solutions Team, we are looking for an open-minded and entrepreneurial intern working with us to support development projects that aim at nutrition solutions, dairy and plant-based products, for school-age children in critical transformation stage at the age of 5 years and above.
A day in the life of an Intern in Product Development
Give support to development projects under the supervision of Product Development Specialists:
- Get into our labs and pilot plants to support more experienced colleagues in the innovation & renovation of our children’s brands
- In collaboration with Nestlé colleagues, define the areas to explore and the experimental trial plan
- Plan, prepare and run kitchen/benchtop/prototyping trials and/or pilot plant trials
- Organize raw materials, product analytics, release of samples, sensory and keeping quality tests
- Participate and organize internal team discussions and regular updates. Bring your own ideas to the table!
- Present project results internally to relevant Nestlé colleagues
What will make you successful
- Master’s degree student in Food Technology/Food Science/Food Engineering requiring first working experience while still enrolled at University during time of the internship
- Strong interest in hands-on experience in product development
- Proactive, curious and result focused combined with an innovative mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with diverse teams
- Fluent in English (oral and written), at ease at networking in international environment
