Position Summary 

 

As a “Manufacturing specialist”, you will be supporting factories in the deployment of new process technologies and new supplement products in form of tablets, capsules, sift gel capsules or gummies. You will be also Providing technical support to manufacturing including but not limited to formulation or process improvement, cost savings initiatives, and trouble shooting

 

 

A Day in the Life of a Manufacturing specialist

 

  • Driving scale up, validation and transferring technologies/processes to internal manufacturing sites, or external partners
  • Contributing to R&D product and process development projects in the supplement area
  • Negotiates timeline commitments among other team members such that agreed objectives and timings for completion of activities are achieved
  • Approving new or modified products / recipes
  • Write and update guidelines, instructions and standards
  • Proposing, planning and delivering technical and scientific support in projects for NPTC/R&DC/NRC and/or Markets
  • Drives knowledge building and business related project activities with passion and by taking initiative
  • Presenting results/methods in written and oral form to interested parties or visitors

What will make you successful

 

  • Master Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science or other related discipline
  • Solid Experience with technology transfers, Quality by Design, and/or Operational Excellence tools
  • Knowledge of powder blending, tableting & coating, capsule manufacturing and soft gel capsule manufacturing, optimally also experienced in gummy manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is must have
  • Ability to interact well in multi-functional teams, including product development using Stage/Gate methodology, and in fostering a team approach to achieving project goals
  • Problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational
  • Proficient using scientific principles to develop or optimize formulation and manufacturing processes
  • Strong experimental skills, data analysis and written and verbal reports
  • Prefer Successful track record in the development of powder products
  • Ability to succeed in a changing environment and adjust effectively
  • Creative and intellectually curious; tries different and novel ways to solve problems and remove obstacles
  • Fluent English, German or French speaking is an added value
