We are looking for a R&D Product Development Intern to strengthen our Powder Creamer Team, located in the Nestlé Research & Development Center in Konolfingen (CH) near Bern. You will be working on the development of new solutions to optimize the powder properties & manufacturing process for innovation in the powder creamer category.

A Day in the Life of a R&D Product Development Intern

 

  • Support R&D product development projects under the supervision of Product Development Specialists
  • Design and execute experiments to identify powder creamer solutions with defined functional and sensory properties
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct kitchen, benchtop, prototyping, and/or pilot plant trials
  • Organize the preparation of prototypes to present and validate developed solutions
  • Coordinate raw materials, product analytics, sample release, sensory evaluations, and keeping quality tests
  • Assess the sustainability impact of developed solutions in collaboration with the project manager
  • Work closely with project team members and build effective collaboration with relevant NPTC stakeholders
  • Document, report, present, and regularly share project and internship results with Nestlé colleagues

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor or Master diploma in progress or completed, in the field of Science and Technology/Food Science/Food Engineering with a link to Material sciences, Chemistry, Physics
  • Communication skills and ability to build personal relationships based on trust
  • Networking capabilities and experience in multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Strong interest in innovation and a problem solving mindset
  • Fluent in English. German is a strong asset
