Position Summary

As an R&D Product Development Specialist – Infant & Toddler Nutrition, you can make a difference in children’s lives from pregnancy to toddler by developing the next generation of infant nutrition products. In this challenging role you will be responsible to manage the development, innovation and renovation of Infant Formula products and processes from concept through all stages of development up to industrialization in close collaboration with experienced manufacturing specialists. You will lead the product and process development part and interact proactively with other strategic functions such as R&D, QA, Commercial, Regulatory to ensure overall project objectives, such as quality, timing and budget.

A Day in the Life of a Product Development Specialist– Infant & Toddler Nutrition
- Drive the product and process development of Nutrition Business specific for Infant -Follow-on formula and Growing-up milks, in collaboration with experienced specialists, from concept to industrial scale and deliver product(s)/process(es) solution(s) at defined quality, time and costs
- Drive nutrition-based development and deliver innovative powder, liquid and plant-based product/process solutions to support the innovation pipelines
- Plan and produce clinical trial products
- Have first experience with sustainability and project management
- Provide technical assistance to Nestlé Nutrition, markets, factories and suppliers
- Facilitate and coach within the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, across R&D Units, Nutrition Business and with external partners, e.g suppliers
What will make you successful
- Master’s degree in Food science, -Technology, -Engineering -Chemistry or equivalent education, PhD would be a plus, but not required
- 1 to 5 years of experience in the field of R&D, application group or similar technical functions would be required
- Have developed first specializations steps in key process technologies key to the Infant and Toddler category.
- Proactive, innovative, hands-on and winning attitude with strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowing the SAP, NesTMS and other required IT tools would be an asset
- Fluent English is required, German, French or other language skills would be an advantage
