Position Summary
As a Senior Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the development, innovation and renovation of processes and systems for liquid technologies, including dissolvers, transfer lines, standardization, inline dosing systems, oil and liquid ingredient handling, and CIP integration. You will design new processes and optimize or troubleshoot existing ones to ensure performance, reliability and safety across the installed base. Beyond broad expertise, you will develop deep mastery in at least one key process area and act as the process unit owner.
A Day in the Life of a Senior Engineering Specialist
- Propose innovative process and technology solutions that drive future breakthroughs
- Lead technical contributions to cross-functional projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Provide accurate operational support and drive effective, sustainable troubleshooting solutions
- Integrate scientific, technological and safety knowledge to strengthen capabilities across teams
- Contribute engineering expertise to CAPEX projects to enhance quality, safety and competitiveness
- Deploy new technologies that improve product quality, reduce cost and support Net Zero objectives
- Validate pilot-scale technologies and ensure efficient industrial scale-up with vertical start-up
- Collaborate with strategic partners to identify and integrate competitive, emerging technologies
- Present technical results and methods clearly to stakeholders and visiting partners
What will make you successful
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Up-to-date knowledge of quality, safety, hygiene state-of-the art technologies and requirements of the Infant Formula or dairy manufacturing industry
- Extensive R&D and/or factory/operations experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry
- Broad exposure across multiple organizational environments
- Strong experience in liquid processing design, installation and commissioning
- Proven CAPEX project management expertise and strong troubleshooting capability
- Ability to translate process requirements into automation control descriptions
- Knowledge in aseptic processing is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in English; additional languages (e.g. Spanish) are an asset
- Willingness to travel internationally for up to 10% of the time
