As a Senior Product Development Specialist, you can make a significant impact on the lives of adults by creating the next generation of Adult and Healthy Longevity products that promote overall health and well-being. In this challenging role, your responsibilities include managing the development, innovation, and renovation of adult nutrition and healthy aging products and processes. You will oversee the entire development process, from concept to industrialization, working closely with experienced manufacturing specialists.
Your role will involve leading the product and process development aspect of the projects, collaborating proactively with other strategic functions such as R&D, QA, Commercial, and Regulatory to ensure overall project objectives, such as quality, timing and budget.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Product Development Specialist
- Drive the product and process development of Nutrition Business specific for Adult and Healthy longevity nutrition, in collaboration with experienced specialists, from concept to industrial scale and deliver product(s)/process(es) solution(s) that meet defined quality, time and costs requirements
- Drive nutrition-based development and deliver innovative powder, liquid and plant-based product/process solutions to support the innovation pipelines
- Have experience with sustainability and project management combined with product development
- Provide technical assistance to Nestlé Nutrition, markets, factories and suppliers
- Facilitate and coach within the product development, the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, across R&D Units, Nutrition Business and with external partners, e.g suppliers
What will make you successful
- Master’s degree in food science, Technology, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent education. A PhD would be a plus, but it is not required
- Extensive expertise in the field of NPTC, NDU, CTAG, Application group, or similar technical functions would be required
- Ideally, some experience working with the Chinese Market and familiarity with its specific requirements
- Deep understanding of specific competencies such as liquid processing, enzymatic treatments, or other unique unit operations relevant to the Adult and Healthy longevity Category
- Proactive, innovative, and hands-on approach with a winning attitude
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to coach and develop young product development talents
- Familiarity with SAP, NesTMS, and other relevant IT tools would be an asset
- Fluent English language skills are required. Proficiency in German, French, or any other language would be advantageous

In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories.
