Position Summary  

 

As a Sensory Evaluation Intern, you will be a member of the Sensory & Product Experience Team at NPTC Nutrition.

A Day in the Life of a Sensory Evaluation Intern

 

  • Drive the sensory training framework for internal employees
  • Lead the recruitment, screening, and training of new expert panelists under guidance of a sensory specialist
  • Support the Sensory Specialists in planning, preparing, and running sensory tests with sensory panels according best practices
  • Support the Sensory & Product Experience team in various activities related to sensory science 

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Sensory Science, Food Science / Technology, ideally with focus on sensory evaluation and/or consumer research
  • Very good understanding and operational experience in a wide range of sensory analysis techniques and their applications
  • Operational experience in sensory panel moderating is a plus
  • Passion for sensory evaluation & product tasting and ready to participate in tasting sessions, including dairy-based products
  • Good knowledge in statistics
  • Computer-literate (MS-Office and dedicated technical software)
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in German is strongly preferred
