Position Summary
As a “Site Quality Assurance Manager”, you will be the guardian of the R&D site for food safety, quality and compliance and the challenger of all functions to drive Nestlé Continuous Excellence in the pursuit of zero defect as the essential base for maintaining consumer trust and preference. You will lead the Quality Assurance department, including a variety of teams in the R&D Center and will join an innovative and growing environment. With your team of 27 direct and indirect reports you will provide support to the 4 businesses based in Nestlé R&D Konolfingen (Nutrition, Health Science, Dairy, Coffee-Powder Creamers).

A Day in the Life of a Site Quality Assurance Manager
The management and coaching of the following teams:
Quality Compliance:
- Maintain the required quality system (ISO 9001, FSSC 22’000)
- Manage external contacts with authorities and certification bodies
- Support pilot plant activities (e.g. line HACCPs, food safety, pathogen and hygiene monitoring, quality trainings, raw material and trial products release)
Chemical/physical laboratories:
- Provide analytical service for R&D trial productions and market support
- Education and training of 6 chemical laboratory apprentices
Laboratory Services:
- Manage the samples for external analyses, glassware washing, microbiological media preparation and lab stock management
- Ensure the maintenance of the GLP system within all laboratories at R&D Konolfingen and to coordinate the Nestlé analytical methods portfolio at R&D Konolfingen
Milk & Honey expert team:
- Support markets worldwide (e.g. on development/implementation of specific milk testing needs, quality support for production processes, specification advisor, ownership of analytical methods for milk)
What will make you successful
- University graduate or equivalent (preferred microbiology, chemistry or food science)
- Demonstrated capability to lead a group, as a Group leader in a factory (Deputy QA, Quality Systems, Hygienist) or as QA specialist in a PTC or R&D Centre, NRC, CO-QM
- Previous management exposure across several functions
- Different factory and/or market positions in different environments (Centre, Region, Market, Expatriation, Mission, Special Projects)
- Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English and preferably good knowledge of local language written and spoken.
